The SoftCircuits-developed application Cygnus Hex Editor falls in the later category. From the application’s name it is immediately obvious what it can do for you – Cygnus Hex Editor is, well, a hex editor. There are several things that are not immediately obvious from the application’s name though.

Like the fact that Cygnus Hex Editor is a powerful and fast hex editor. Or the fact that Cygnus Hex Editor is incredibly easy to use. Or the fact that Cygnus Hex Editor comes with the following features:

If you want to get Cygnus Hex Editor and put it to the test, you must know that there are two versions available for you to try out. There’s Cygnus Hex Editor (version 2.5 at the time of writing this) that you can use free of charge only for a trial period of 30 days. There’s also Cygnus Hex Editor Free Edition (version 1.0) which you can use free of charge for as long as you want. The downside is that the Free Edition is not feature complete.

Overall Cygnus Hex Editor is a powerful, fast and quite easy to use hex editor that you will enjoy using.
